The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) - Author Communication Center

For AAAS we helped migrate various author interaction functions from a Microsoft Access application to a web-based portal built using Microsoft ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server 2008 and Telerik's control suite. The application has been instrumental in allowing AAAS to migrate slowly while maintaining service to its authors and editors.

Namaws

Namaw's Restaurant - Web Site and Marketing

Namaw's is a small town restaurant looking to make a big impact on its community and Brains-on-a-Stick has been instrumental in making that happen. We built a new web site for Namaw's as well as set their plan for utilizing social medial (Facebook and Twitter) to help bring in customers to experience their great food.

Saxon

Intelitap - Beverage Management Application

We designed a robust service-oriented solution for Intelitap that integrated custom hardware, handhelds, and touchscreens for collecting beverage flow at restaurants and stadiums.

For this solution, we used Java Server Pages, Java Server Faces, Tomcat, mySQL, Linux, Touchscreens, Handhelds, Axure, Enterprise Architect, and Microsoft Project.

Saxon

Saxon Mortgage (Morgan Stanley) - Rules Engine

We built an application for Saxon Mortgage that is used to manage their Capital Markets unit. The application utilized a custom business rule engine with data scrubbing that verified data across loan scenarios and data sources.

We used Microsoft .NET, WinForms, C#, Business Objects, SQL Server 2000 and Data Transformation Services.

HIB Consulting - Data Warehouse

HIB Consulting is a boutique mortgage consulting firm that specializes in delivering market share data to their large bank customers. We designed a data warehouse that aggregated data from multiple mortgage data sources. The end result was a streamlined reporting process that saved HIB significant time and labor costs.

For this application, we used Microsoft .NET, C#, WinForms, ASP.NET, AJAX, Business Objects, SQL Server 2005, and Data Transformation Services.

Carnegie Mellon University - Online Grants Management

For CAMT, we built an application to assist in the management of the grant application and approval process. This application allowed various funding organizations and their constituents to review submitted grants online and manage the project and panel information associated with those grants.

We used Microsoft .NET, C#, ASP.NET, AJAX, NHibernate, SQL Server 2005, and Crystal Reports in the development of this solution.

Agility

Agility Healthcare (GE) - Equipment Locator Kiosk

We created a web-based touchscreen application for Agility Healthcare. The application is a rich-internet application that utilizes AJAX for asynchronous map movements. Users can touch the screen of the application and move the map to locate specific assets; they can also zoom in and out on the floor map to get a closer view of the asset location. A services-oriented architecture was utilized to increase application deployment flexibility.

For this application, we used Microsoft .NET, C#, ASP.NET, AJAX, Web Services, SQL Server 2005, and Touchscreen computers.

Agility

Agility Healthcare (GE) - Handheld Tracking Application

We built a handheld application for Agility that locates items by RFID. Deployed on a handheld, the application utilizes a reader card in the PCI slot that integrates the tag reader. A multi-threaded architecture allows the application to handle tags that beacon simultaneously.

For this solution, we utilized the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework, C#, C++, and a Pocket PC.

ImageLabs (KLA Tencor) - Semiconductor Inspection

We constructed a semiconductor wafer inspection system for Image Labs. The system integrated various hardware: Olympus camera, Microscope, Autofocus, Light Filter, Vacuum, and 3-stage Galil motion controller. The application utilized the Cognex imaging library for advanced image manipulation and analysis. The system handled configuration and calibration of each of the hardware components, as well as the coordinate translation routines between the 3 stages of the motion controller.

Utilized UML (use cases, class model), C#, WinForms, Multithreading, Galil Motion Controller, Olympus 5-8MP Camera, and Cognex VisionPro.

3Speed - Vendor Management Portal

The 3Speed application is a web-based business-to-business portal that specializes in automating the selection and engagement of globally distributed information technology resources. We designed, architected and built this software application that contains credit card processing for subscriptions as well as a robust administration tool for managing users, vendor candidates, lookups, and reports.

The technologies for this project were Microsoft .NET, ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server 2000, SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services, and Web Services.

Coffey

Coffey Communications - Web Site and Content Management

We constructed a corporate web site and contentn management system for Coffey Communications. This web site used CSS positioning so that site designers could change the location and look-and-feel of various elements through an online administration tool.

This application used Microsoft .NET, ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server 2000 and CSS.

netReturns

netReturns - Hospital Web Sites and Content Management

netReturns is a set of web-based services for hospital and various medical industry companies. These web-based services include: a health information library, an events calendar, a physician directory, an e-Newsletter system, an online job center, an online gift shop with customizable greeting cards, an online baby nursery, Pregnancy e-Newsletters.

We were responsible for porting the original system from ASP to Microsoft .NET, ASP.NET, C#, and SQL Server 2000.

Rubin Response Services - Web Site and Content Management

We provided a content management system for RRS that included robust search capabilities that allowed end users to search their library of mailing lists, which was stored in many PDF documents.

Wintergreen Resort - Job Application Kiosk and Management Application

We constructed a portion of Wintergreen's website for posting jobs and receiving applications. This site was also utilized in their office in a kiosk format for applicants who visit the Wintergreen office location.

We used Microsoft .NET, C#, Web Services, ASP.NET, Business Objects, and SQL Server 2000.
